I performed competitive audits on 20 direct competitors and thoroughly studied them. The competitive audits covered various topics, including: Their websites, branding and visual identity, services and more. Here are a few examples of the audit findings that allowed us to strategize and plan the content creation for the website.
Based on the findings from the competitive audit and considering the target audience of 'Expand Me', I defined the information architecture of the website to obtain a high-level overview of the site. This also allowed me to seek feedback from stakeholders during the early stages of the project.
After identifying the essential elements for the home page of the website, I engaged in design ideation, created wireframes, and crafted the overall structure of the home page, including both desktop and mobile versions. The value proposition of the brand is to 'Expand your audience'. I explored various approaches to visually communicate this through the hero section of the website, including ideas such as 'Eyes on the brand' and 'Design process'. The goal was to convey the value proposition to users as soon as they load the website. The use of simplicity in the design makes the message easy to understand. The background image conveys the concept of 'expanding' and has the potential to be animated.
After designing, prototyping, and extensively testing the design, I was able to achieve the final polished look.
A total of 22 pages have been designed, 5 prototypes have been built, and over 20 competitors have been audited.
Expand Me website has a scalable design. Expand Me Agency is young and its website will expand in future. Currently, this website is in the development phase.
